How To Prepare Your Home For Real Estate Photography

We will be photographing both the inside and outside of your home. Typically we will photograph all rooms excluding closets (except for walk-ins or otherwise specified), unfinished basement, and garage.  If you need any special requests for spaces to be photographed (utilities, unfinished room, etc), please let us know. 

Exteriors

  • Remove vehicles from driveways.
  • Do not park directly in front of house.
  • If possible, clean outdoor windows.
  • Remove or hide all garden tools including hoses and sprinklers.
  • Mow and rake yard and sweep driveways, porch and sidewalks. • Move garbage cans out of sight.
  • Vacuum/Clean pool and pool area. (if applicable)
  • Twilight Shooting: Please turn on all interior and landscaping lighting.

Interiors

  • Contain pets out of sight and hide pet bowls, toys and litter boxes.
  • Open all shades/blinds. Clean all windows.
  • Hide trash cans.
  • Turn on all lights. Replace broken bulbs as necessary.
  • Turn ceiling fans off.
  • Contain children’s toys out of sight.
  • De-clutter all rooms. Remove excess newspapers/ magazines.
  • Make all beds and tidy bedrooms.
  • Hang or put away all clothing.
  • Straighten dining room chairs
  • Conceal all cords. Unplug if needed.
    (except lamps)

Kitchen

  • Remove photos, notes and magnets from the refrigerator.
  • De-Clutter countertops and remove day-to-day utensils
  • Remove items from the sink.
  • Straighten stools and chairs
  • Remove trash can

Bathroom

  • De-Clutter countertops
  • Toilets seat down
  • Remove rugs
  • Removed cleaning brushed and trash cans.
  • Replace with full roll of toilet paper.
